16' Sturdee Dory For Sale

Hi All,

I have a 2000 16' Sturdee Dory with a 1999 model year 25hp four stroke yamaha outboard, and galvanized trailer, all in excellent condition for sale. The motor has approximately 20hrs on it and it has been flushed with fresh water after every use. The boat has not been bottom painted and has had flush mounted rod holders added. I purchased the boat last september brand new and used it the remainder of that year and half of this year. I am selling because I have purchased a much larger boat.

I am asking $6500 and will demo the boat for interested buyers.

Is the sturdee dory selfbailing?

Hi,

The Dory is not self bailing. In the times that I have used her I have not had any issues of having too much water at my feet. There have been times when I've used a cup to splash water on the floor to clean up the slime from releasing one too many bluefish then scooped up the water with the same cup. If you are concerned with floatation, the boat does have enough built in foam floatation so she will not sink.

I have visited the Stur-dee boat works serveral times in Tiverton, RI.
The owners are very nice people and make a quality boat. That 16'Amesbury Dory skiff has been around for a long time and is a safe boat. Asking price for the listed package seems like a VERY good deal. Did you ever notice the price of the Blue Fin dory ? Look at the hull sometime.
