Give rolled composites in fall river a buzz. I talked with them a few years ago and they quoted a very reasonable price. I believe they are providing or at least used to provide the poles for stiffy.

Does (or will) your boat have a poling platform? If not, there are some shorter poles for very short $.

For cheap cheap money I picked up a 15' fiberglass pipe from a supply company and then bought one of the plastic v-feet and it works the nuts. I only get to use it a few times each season, but from my 15' cc with no platform it is great to align my drift and/or get on top of some fish.

Try at your local highschool or college that has a track team. I have used old polevaulting poles with my canoe and jon boat. Many of them are 12-14 ft tall and very light weight. Get a heavy weight pole (less flex) and you will do fine. These teams often have old ones laying around that nodoy uses. would be glad to get rid of them.
Just an economial suggestion, epeially if you only use it once in a while

I used a 16' dowel from Home Depot. Not pretty but it moves my 17' without a platform as well in water up to 7.5 ft.

Has one of the most economical push poles I've seen. Can't comment on the quality.

I've had a cabelas pushpole for 4 years now and it works great. It telescopes to 15' long. I use it both duck hunting and fishing.
