I am looking to buy a new trolling motor for my Whaler, 16 ft Dauntles. I dont know what motor to go with a Minn-Kota or a Motorguide. I want to use a bow mount and am looking at the Co-Pilot ones, both companies make a wireless remote. Has anyone else used a Co-Pilot motor, how do the work and HOLD-UP. The Minn-Kota RT-55-ST-CO-AP has an AUTO-PILOT feature on it and I would like to know if getting the AUTO-PILOT is even WORTH the extra money. The Motorguide I am looking at cost less than the Minn-Kota. The Motorguide has a CO-PILOT feature but NOT an AUTO-PILOT, dose the Minn-Kota Auto-Pilot really work like they say it dose? Dose these 2 motors HOLD-UP or should I just go with a Stick control. Any input would be helpful before I put out the money on a new motor

I am going to buy a saltwater, wireless trolling motor, 50-60 inches in length, 75-80 thrust, I have used MK quite abit in the past few years, I have researched them, asked people that have used them, asked trusted people that sell and install them and have come to a conclusion that dollar for dollar pound for pound.

Drum roll........You can get a slightly more powerfull motor and hang on to about 150-180.00 of your hard earned money by going with (Mercury) motorguide. They had some issues almost 4 years ago but have since cleaned up their act for the past 3 years- most likely because of mercury.
