Sweet. Who is building the Egret this time around? Never thought I'd see them come back.

The Gents name is Frank Afshari. He now builds them in Washington, NC a little north west of Morehead City

Thats a great boat, I used to tournament fish one in FL. I think I have seen you at the ramp a number of times. If I see this Egret this summer, I'll make sure to say hi.

sweet boat
I purchased the same set up this summer
I think its a great set up for inshore/offshore-
would be happy to help answer questions for any potential buyers
What stereo do you have-CMD5?
did you run an amp?
where did you put the speakers?
Any pictures would be appreciated
Thanks

The head unit is a cmd5 and the speakers are mounted up under the gunwales in a neatly designed fiberglass box that came with the boat, They are glassed in and keep the spray off. 2 forward and 2 aft pointing down tward the deck. I have never seen a better designed boat for its size. Just wish they made one 28' or so.

You might want to look at the 29' Seavee. I have fished both boats and would call the SeaVee the next logical step. The 25' Contender is a great choice if the 29 was too big.

seacoast,
look up under your gunwales. They came on the boat and were from the factory.

I climbed under the cover yesterday-
man is that slick or what
Your right - this is one slick boat
they thought of everything!
Good luck with your sale

Went down to Miami to sea trial a few boats. The 29 SeaVee is a well built boat but its too narrow. The boat is very unsettled under way (35 knots or so). At rest it was unstable. The 32 SeaVee on the other hand is a far superior ride. They were a little wet as well for my liking. The gov't cut was nice and nasty with boat wake all over. Once outside the breakwater the seas were 2-3 short chop.
The 27 and 31 Contender have it all over the SeaVee. Newly designed hulls are stable and dry. The 31 had twin 350's and was stupid fast. Almost too much power if there is such a thing. A little too much weight on the transom. The 27 seemed to be just right with twin 250's.
The SeaVee has a fit and finish that is a little nicer than the Contender but this is not a fashion show. I need performance. I need a girl that puts out not the prude pretty girl that just stands there looking good.
