Selling my Minn Kota Riptide™ RT 70 lb thrust 24 volt with AutoPilot Saltwater Bow Mount Motor with Weedless Wedge™ 2 Prop Two AMG 2700 batteries and motor manual.

This motor was mounted on my 2004 Lund 20ft boat for two seasons. I sold the Lund and the person who bought it had his own trolling motor. I am moving up to a much larger boat and cannot use this motor, it was primarily used in freshwater and used in salt about 10 times. It has been very well cared for and I considerate to be in excellent to mint condition. The mount footprint is very small and can fit in a tight space on the bow. It comes with the auto pilot wrist strap for remote steering, co-pilot ,a foot pedal control and two top of the line AGM Dual Pro 2700 deep cycle batteries. The total package new cost me over $1300 The buy it now price is $650 firm which is a fantastic deal. Serious buyer only please. Must be picked up in Westboro, Ma.

Kuskus68 ,

I bought the longest I could get , I believe its 54-55 inches. I will measure and respond back. It should be plenty of length for a boat that size without a ton of freeboard, My 20 ft Lund has more freeboard and I did not have any issues also my boat weighed 2500lb and it could pull the boat around all day.

One thing I can tell you from experience is that a trolloing motot shaft length is much more critical in saltwater due to the waves, if the saft is not long enough the prop will come out of the water often and is annoying to say the least.

I will get back to the forum today.

Thanks,
Rob

Hi,

I might be interested in this motor but I have a question about the wiring. Do you run the 24 volt circuit as a separate stand alone system? If so, what do you do for charging? If not, how do you connect it to the boats 12 volt system?

If someone else is running a 24 volt trolling motor, I'd appreciate your comments as well.

Thanks a lot,
Chris

Update : Figured it out!
