1994 Merc Black Max 200hp for sale

I have one 1994 Mercury Black Max 200 hp for sale. I am upgrading to an Opti. The engine has @ 800 hrs on it. New starter installed in 2005, rebuilt trim pump was done in 2004, new swivel bracket in 2002. Compression was checked in 2005 and was good, however I dont have #'s. I used this enginve regularly last year and it ran great. Winterized at the end of the season. One of the latches on cowling is broken, and there is some corrosion on engine mounts. The engine is located in Southern NH and any buyer will be responsible for pickup/shipping. I am open to all offers over $700. Dealer is willing to give me $700 for it.

Does the engine come with controls and where in NH is it.

Thanks for bringing that up Saga. The engine does NOT come with controls, gauges, oil tank, wiring harness, key or safetyswitch. It does come with an aluminum prop, but it probably needs a rebuiild or replacement.


The engine is crated (ready for shipping) and currently in Dover, NH. I have had significant interest and a couple offers so far.

As Dale knows, when I need to get rid of something I dont mess around. just kidding. How has that trailer worked out Dale?

New engine is on order. I am replacing this with a brandy new 175 opti... --127-3- . I cant wait. The Black Max has been a great engine for me, but I am psyched to have a more efficient engine and a smart craft gauge. getting precise fuel burn info will be sweet.
