lost and found

this is kind of a crazy question but i was looking for some help. i have a 14ft dory that has washed up on my property. the boat has been there since sept. and it is holed on the starboard side. the boat also hasnt been registered since 1998. if i would like to claim this boat for myself and put some work and money into it what do i do? Given that it is flooded, grounded, and has been there for at least three weeks, you should be ok, but there will be those who will know salvage law better than I. Google should help.

it is in the vicinity of menahaut but its not along the road. i think you are thinking of the john boat that has been there all winter.

Not trying to spook you with the location.....

Besides E-Sea-E took my last one from me in a "mercy cleaning", and I am ok without it. I can see that he either:

A: got sick of it and upgraded
or
B: lost it on the sleighride of a lifetime.... :eek:

Anyway, I second the check with the officials comment.
