Hi All,

I just bought a used 2000 1890 Maritime Skiff and the console and leaning post cushions need to be either replaced or re-upolsetred. I have the price list for new cushions from Maritime and for just the 3 cushions I need, the price is well over $500. I assume this is my only choice but was wondering if anyone has any less expensive sources for maybe re-upolstering them???

Just a shot in the dark before I spend the money on new cushions. :)

Thnx, DFish, Gloucester, MA

I have a set of white console cushions for the same boat that were only used once by my wife when I took delivery two and half years ago. They're like new and I don't ever use them. Just the same you should be able to have a set made up cheaper if look around for a marine/auto upholster. Just use close cell foam so they don't become sponges and hold water (until you sit on them). I have also seen them on ebay from time to time. Good luck with the boat. I love mine

Hi Ron,

Thanks for the offer. I will keep it in mind. I need a matching leaning post cushion also. I will take your suggestion and look into having them
re-upholstered. I was thinking about a darker color hoping that they won't show the grime as much... but that might not be an accurate assumption either. Who knows. :)

Thanx - Dave
