Updates for the Raymarine C & E series displays (Version 3.18) were released on 05/01. They can be obtained and downloaded from the Raymarine website.
There is also an update (Version 3.16) for the DSM 300 FishFinder that is attached to C-Series and Pathfinder displays.
The software is easily downloaded and installed via a small capacity Compact Flash card.
Raymarine says that you must use a Scandisk compact flash card. This is not necessary as I completed the process without any problem by using a generic compact flash card. They also provide not-so-clear instructions for formatting the compact flash card - prior to downloading the upgrade software from their site. Remember that formatting the card will erase everything (digital images, etc.) that may already be on the card. Make sure there is nothing on the card that you want to save - before you format it.
An easier method to format follows for Windows users:
1. Insert compact flash card into your card reader;
2. Start > My Computer > SINGLE CLICK on the drive that holds the flash card > FILE menu > FORMAT > Start.
