I'd like to build a cage around my center console to hang a windshield off of, some rod holders, etc. Any one know of someone on Cape Cod that I could trailer my boat to who could weld up a simple cage, and install some handrails while they're at it? Thanks in advance.

David Churbuck

dchurbuck@forbes.com

Dave try looking for someone that does aluminum welding.
That might narrow your search a bit.
Just brainstorming , waiting for the fish:);

Dave,
Closest one I know of is in the Rockland/Weymouth area. Kentech, I think is the name. Saw some work they did for Rip Cunningham on a Martime Skiff. It was very nice and reasonable. Of course that was 3 or 4 years ago. Must be someone on the Cape but i don't know where.

Adam,
Thanks for the name correction and specific town. I was close but no cigar.

The best guy around is Tom Huckman at Enterprise Machine Co., Inc. 945-3808. He has done several pieces for me and they ar all top rate. All of the commercial boats and tuna fishermen use him for their trawls and towers and rod holders etc. He did a polished aluminum rocket launcher rod holder for me that is so shiny you could shave off it.
