I'm looking at a new skiff and it's equipped with a Suzuki 4 stroke. I don't know much about Suzuki motors. Any information on these pro or con?

I had a 40hp suzuki 4 stroke on an ealier boat and loved it. Fuel effecient like the other 4strokes and quieter than most. It still seems to be going strong for current owner.

I am going to repower my boat w/ a Suzuki 225 4S. I've researched the hell out of it.....and the reports are all great on the SUZI. Good hole shot, good Fuel Eff., great dependability. They also make the Johnson 4S with a different decal.
Only downside seems to be the dealer network.....or lack of one. But I guess if you are buying from a dealer you trust and he will do the maintainence on the motor .....you're all set.

I am running a 2002 Suzuki DF140 and LOVE it.
The Suzuki's are reputed to be super dependable and so far - mine is!
Sips gas.
Runs extremely quiet.
Good dealer network in my area.
Several dealers within a one hour drive from home (Portsmouth, NH)
3 year standard factory warranty (can be upgraded to 6yrs for a few extra dollars)
Starts EVERY time without a hitch.
I really trust this engine. Granted I only have 54 hours on her so far so I cannot speak of her long term but fully expect her to remain a competent companion for many years to come...

I have one season on a DF70 on a 16'7" whaler and love it. I second all the above. Other than dealer network problems you can't go wrong with this motor.

Go on www.thehulltruth.com and do a search of the archives. You will find alot of information about suzuki motors. Most of what I have read is that owners are very pleased with their performance.
