Bristol Skiff

I am thinking about buying a used Holby Bristol Skiff (17 ft) and to use it for fly fishing in the Long Island sound. I have heard that it is a great boat and it certainly looks great. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with these boats, especially with the durability. Any input on it would be greatly appreciated.

I have had a Bristol Skiff in Darien CT since 2000. It has a Honda engine - the best- and not heavily used. I have however used it in Cape Cod - Chatham and Great South Bay of Long Island as well as Long Island Sound. It has been great in all locations. Has trailer. I am contemplating selling.
