Lightweight, solid, form-fitting casting deck for flyrodding from our mint 1970 13' whaler. It works beautifully, but now that I also own a Montauk, I want to sell this casting deck and maybe the matching gear box & Humminbird depth finder that go with it. (If buyer is local, might also sell pushpole)

Items: Casting Deck for 13' Whaler, matching gear box that fits amidships and screws to the top of the teak side rails; Humminbird Depth Finder w/ transducer; wooden pushpole (poplar) for hard sand/stone bottom areas.

Condition: Excellent. Always kept items hanging in garage when not being used. Easy to do.

Materials used: Smooth 9 ply birch flooring, meticulously sanded and coated with several layers of a matching lt blue interior paint. Translucent non-skid strips for traction. Stainless screws throughout. White rubber nubs all around to protect gunwhale. Gear Box has brass piano hinge with cherry-wood "fly keeper".

Use/Installation: Easy. Install/remove in 1 minute. Attaches via 3 points with jam cleats and thin ropes ( via the exterior mooring ring and the two drain holes in the fwd compartment.) Deck is high enough to permit additional gear storage under deck. Deck is SOLIDLY attached when in use, yet tug the jam cleats and you are free.

Ship-ability: Easy to UPS anywhere from my office in Mass.

Price: Negotiable if offer is fair. I want to sell this to someone who loves to fish skinny water!
