Hey All,
Does anybody know where I can purchase a prop lock for a 2004 Yamaha F150? I went to the Yami site, it shows you the accessories and cost, but not where to buy them.

Go to www.usboatsupply.com/Yamaha_Propellers.php
They have what you need. There only $45...why paint? A SS prop is way cooler than a dull black one. :)

Bob,
Last year I was concerned about possible theft of my prop while the boat sits on the trailer at the marina. Rather than a prop lock, I opted to paint my shiny SS yamaha prop black to make it look like an aluminum prop. I first primed the prop with white primer. After a season of much use, the paint is wearing off around the edges, making the prop look old and worthless. But underneath its still a great SS prop. The paint did not create drag- I still get the same top end on the motor but I do think the paint will prevent a thief from stealing her. There are plenty of shiny SS props at my Marina if a thief is really out to get one. What concerns my more is someone taking the entire lower unit  which would be a lot easier and quicker.

Note to self...
Joe's crappy looking painted prop is really a nice stainless steel prop. :brow

Gordon- make sure you set aside a couple of evenings in June so we can go after the cows.

Hey Firefly,
Which marina are you storing your boat at? I'm gonna be at Ferry Landing....

stingray, that's cool! FireFly and I are at FLM too.
Look for a Key West 1900 with a Yamaha F115 and a yellow McKee Craft 196 with a 150 HPDI.
