I am looking to get a SS Prop form my 90 Hp merc. My boat is VERY light (990 Lbs) with a 2003 90 Hp merc. All reading said I should get a Mercury Laser II prop (still havent demod pithces yet, but guessing at 22").

Anyway, while doing all my reasearch I keep coming across messages/articles that Mercury's new line of Props, Quicksilver, is IDENTIACAL to the regular Mercury line. Just made without the Mercury name on it so they can sell it via non Merc outlets, etc....

The Quicksilver Lightspeed has a matching part number for the Mercury LaserII... Only diff I can find is the Quicksilver is $144 less.

Any input on if these props are the same in design and quality?

TIA

My understanding is that they are exactly the same, except the quicksilver's do not have the laser 2 stamped in them. You can find both propellers (http://www.propellerwarehouse.com) at propellerwarehouse (http://www.propellerwarehouse.com) the laser 2 price is $361.00 with hub kit, and the quicksilver's are $265.00 with out hub kit. Free shipping in the continental united states.
