Someone who knows that I'm looking to get out of my flats skiff and into something a little bigger sent me this link to a new 20 foot skiff being built in Mass.

Pretty nice lines I think. What do you think?

He actually sent me some pictures but, since they don't have them on the website, I have to check to see if I'm at liberty to post them. I don't know why I wouldn't be but then there's so much that I don't know.

Armand:
I saw the Gloucester 20 at the Boston In-Water Boat Show in the fall. It was a nice boat with nice lines, but for over $30,000 with a Suzuki DF115 I thought the interior fit and finish was a bit rough. For that kind of money, a loaded Parker 21 SE would be a better buy, I think.

Thanks for the info. I was kind of wondering what the interior layout looks like. Can't see it on the website or in the pictures. Is there any storage, bait well, rod holders. etc. It is a good looking hull.

As I recall there was in the floor storage in the bow, a casting platform is optional. I don't think there was a baitwell. It's basically custom built so you aould have them add just about anything, I imagine.
I may be heading over to Cape Ann Marine for another purpose and if the Gloucester 20 is around I will see if I can get more information.
If you like the lines of a Zurn, look at a Steiger Montauk 21. With a Yami F115 a little under $30K, with a 150 HPDI a bit over. BTW the Steiger website is a bit rough. Dig in from a google search for better pics.

Cape Ann Marine has got a 2003 Lema Northcaost 19 with a Suzuki 115 and trailer for $19,000. I believe the boat listed for $31,000. That's not a bad deal for a brand new boat and four stroke.

Here are a few pictures of the Gloucester 20 that I took at Cape Ann Marina on Saturday, February 1st. It's rigged with a Suzuki DF140.

Thanks for the Pics. I wonder if you can customize the interior layout. I'm not real thrilled with the way that one is laid out.
