Any mid-Cape Honda mechanics out there?

I went out this morning to initiate my vacation with a fishing trip but Mr. Murphy came with me and broke my Honda 40.

It's an electrical problem. It tilted down with no problem, but when I went to crank it ... click. That usually means dead battery, and when I went to tilt it back up. Click. Again, dead battery. Bilge pump ran fine. Messed around and got a couple seconds of strong tilt motor. Then click.

So, I'll replace or charge the battery before freaking out. In the meantime, I'm in Cotuit. I bought the engine from Perry's but they are out of business.

That means either Allen Harbor in Harwich or Atlantic Boats in Wareham for an authorized service center. I know they're probably slammed with work and won't get to the engine in time to salvage the vacation. And I don't want to trailer my boat around the Cape in late August traffic?

Does anybody know of a mechanic in the mid-Cape area that does 4-stroke house calls?

Fixed it. Spent an hour troubleshooting with a voltage tester and Seloc manual. Was the battery cables. The positive had corroded inside the sleeve at the crimp, so I cut it back, crimped on a new one, cleaned the terminal posts, and voila, back in the saddle. Phew. Disaster narrowly averted.

Still would love a reference to any Honda capable mechanics around Cotuit.

I had some service issues with a certain Honda dealer up north. So needless to say, I won't be going back to them.

I know that these guys aren't exactly at your door step, but Tropicland in Dedham was EXTREMELY helpful when I thought that I needed them...definitely worth the trip. They saw me with only a few days notice during the "busy" season. They could not locate a problem nor have I had one since. Anyway, I'm definitely going to them for any and all service I may need for my Honda. As a matter of fact I'm up for another 100 hr. check-up/oil change. They seem to be great guys. Ask for Brian or Larry.

The Boat Guy in Falmouth. Was on 28 near waquoit but has relocated. Still in Falmouht just not sure of the new location.
